Welcome to 2554 Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry Cadet Corps, based out of Calgary, AB.

We are a part of CANADA'S LARGEST youth organization dedicated to training young men and women to become tommorow's leaders! We train every Tuesday evening between September and June. We are afilliated with Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, one of the largest infantry regiments in Canada currently based out of Edmonton (and formerly headquarted in CFB Calgary).

Activities We do:

The Royal Canadian Army Cadet (RCAC) Training Program - We conduct this national program during our weekly sessions and on weekend training Topics emphasized are:

- Leadership
- Physical Fitness
- Citizenship
- Bushcraft (camping) Skills
- Map & Compass
- First Aid
- Firearms handling / marksmanship
- Instructional Technique

Adventure Training - Having an affiliation with an infantry regiment, our corps specializes in various mountaineering activities, such as hiking, basic rock climbing, survival training, and reconnaissance.

Biathlon, Drill, & Shooting Teams - Our corps boasts some of the top Biathlon, shooting, and drill teams in western Canada.

Citizenship Activities - Our citizenship activities include poppy distribution with the Korean Veterans Association #54, volunteering with the Colonel Belcher Veteran's Center, and a variety of other local projects.

Canadian Forces Familiarization Training - One of the aims of the Army Cadet program is to familiarize cadets with the Canadian Forces, particularly the land element. Over the summer months and throughout the year we conduct many familiarization activities, such as training activities with the 1st and 3rd Batallions of our affiliated unit in Edmonton, the PPCLI. Along with our regular weekly training, cadets are taught basic military skills including drill, (marching and precision movement).

The Army Cadet program as a whole, and our corps does not instruct warfare/battle tactic type activities nor do we recruit for the Canadian Forces. Those who seek to learn heavy-duty warfare skills should pursue a career in the combat arms of the Canadian Forces. We do however offer a variety of extra-curricular activities which tailor to cadets who seek to learn more about the Canadian Forces Land (Army) Element.
